Intended use
This manual describes the internal operational sequence of the trademark electronic filing procedure as rendered from the Mitos administrative record. It is organized by commitment point. Each commitment point captures a legally meaningful institutional act rather than every clerical sub-step.
Roles referenced in this manual
- Formal examiner — officer performing the initial admissibility and filing-date control.
- Trademark examiner — officer performing the substantive examination on absolute grounds.
- Prior-search officer — support function responsible for prior-mark search and notice support.
- Registry officer — officer responsible for the final inscription once the opposition gate has closed.
- Applicant / filer — natural or legal person seeking registration.
- Administrative Committee on Trademarks — downstream challenge body referenced for archive and rejection appeals and for opposition proceedings.

Formal examiner
- Verify that the filing contains the minimum legal elements required for existence as a trademark application.
- Issue a deficiency notice where formal elements are missing.
- Record the filing-date outcome or archive outcome.
Trademark examiner
- Review the filing against absolute grounds for inadmissibility.
- Produce the merits-stage acceptance or rejection outcome.
- Ensure publication is initiated where acceptance is issued.
Prior-search officer
- Perform the prior-search workflow supporting notice to prior-right holders.
- Support publication-stage information production.
Registry officer
- Confirm that the opposition period has closed without opposition.
- Perform the final registry inscription.
- Close the file and activate the registered-right state.
