Δικαιούχος είναι κάθε φυσικό πρόσωπο που έχει εξαρτώμενα τέκνα και πληροί τα εισοδηματικά και λοιπά κριτήρια επιλεξιμότητας. Η αίτηση υποβάλλεται αποκλειστικά ψηφιακά μέσω της πλατφόρμας του ΟΠΕΚΑ, με πιστοποίηση μέσω TAXISnet.
Ειδικές απαιτήσεις ισχύουν για:
- Τέκνα 18–24 ετών σε σπουδές (πιστοποιητικό σπουδών)
- Τέκνα 18–24 ετών με αναπηρία ≥67% (ιατρική γνωμάτευση ΚΕΠΑ)
- Γονείς σε διάσταση/διαζύγιο (έγγραφο επιμέλειας)
- Αλλοδαπούς αιτούντες (άδεια διαμονής ή αντίστοιχο έγγραφο)

Any natural person with dependent children who meets the income and eligibility criteria may apply. The application is submitted exclusively online via the OPEKA digital platform, with TAXISnet authentication.
Special documentation requirements apply for:
- Children aged 18–24 in education (certificate of studies)
- Children aged 18–24 with disability ≥67% (KEPA medical certification)
- Separated or divorced parents (custody document)
- Non-Greek applicants (residence permit or equivalent)

Κατά κανόνα δεν χρειάζεται να επισυνάψεις έγγραφα — το σύστημα αντλεί αυτόματα τα δεδομένα μέσω διαλειτουργικότητας (πολιτική μητρώο, ΑΑΔΕ). Έγγραφα ζητούνται μόνο αν η εφαρμογή σε ειδοποιήσει.
Χρειάζεσαι:
- Κωδικούς TAXISnet (για είσοδο στο σύστημα)
- ΑΜΚΑ (επαληθεύεται εντός της αίτησης)
- Τυχόν πρόσθετα έγγραφα αν σου ζητηθούν (βλ. παραπάνω)

As a general rule, you do not need to attach documents — the system retrieves data automatically through interoperability (civil registry, ΑΑΔΕ). Documents are requested only if flagged by the system.
You will need:
- TAXISnet credentials (for platform access)
- AMKA social security number (verified within the application)
- Any additional documents the system requests (see special cases above)

- Υποβολή αίτησης (ανοίγει ~Μάρτιο, κλείνει 15 Ιανουαρίου επόμενου έτους): Συμπλήρωσε και οριστικοποίησε την ετήσια αίτηση στην πλατφόρμα ΟΠΕΚΑ.
- Αυτόματη κρίση επιλεξιμότητας: Το σύστημα ελέγχει εισόδημα, οικογενειακή κατάσταση και κριτήρια επιλεξιμότητας. Λαμβάνεις απόφαση (Απόφαση) σχεδόν άμεσα.
- Έγκριση: Κατατάσσεσαι σε εισοδηματική κατηγορία (Α, Β ή Γ) και καθορίζεται το μηνιαίο ποσό ανά εξαρτώμενο τέκνο. Το επίδομα καταβάλλεται ανά δίμηνο σε 6 δόσεις (τελευταία εργάσιμη Μαρτίου, Μαΐου, Ιουλίου, Σεπτεμβρίου, Νοεμβρίου, Δεκεμβρίου).
- Απόρριψη: Λαμβάνεις επίσημη απόφαση. Μπορείς να υποβάλεις ενδικοφανή προσφυγή εντός 3 μηνών.
Σημείωση: Πριν από κάθε δόση, το σύστημα επαναληθεύει τα εισοδηματικά στοιχεία. Αν το εισόδημά σου έχει αλλάξει σημαντικά, το ποσό της επόμενης δόσης μπορεί να διαφέρει.

- Application submission (window opens ~March, closes 15 January of the following year): Complete and finalise the annual application on the OPEKA digital platform.
- Automated eligibility determination: The system checks income, family status, and eligibility criteria. You receive a decision (Απόφαση) almost immediately.
- Approval: You are assigned to an income category (A, B, or C) and a monthly benefit amount per dependent child is calculated. The benefit is paid bi-monthly in 6 instalments (last working day of March, May, July, September, November, December).
- Rejection: You receive a formal decision. You may file an internal administrative appeal within 3 months.
Note: Before each instalment, the system re-verifies income data. If your income has changed materially, the amount of the next instalment may differ.
Annual Benefit Eligibility Determination
The OPEKA automated system determines whether the applicant is eligible for the child benefit. It assigns the applicant to an income category (A, B, or C), calculates the monthly benefit amount per dependent child, and issues a formal decision (Απόφαση). Approval activates a registry update and a bi-monthly payment programme of six annual instalments. Rejection or erroneous-approval revocation triggers the recourse path.

Αν η αίτησή σου απορριφθεί — ή αν μια προηγούμενη έγκριση ανακληθεί — έχεις δικαίωμα ενδικοφανούς προσφυγής εντός 3 μηνών από την κοινοποίηση της απόφασης.
- Η υποβολή της προσφυγής δεν αναστέλλει την εκτέλεση της προσβαλλόμενης πράξης.

- Προσοχή: Η ενδικοφανής προσφυγή δεν επιτρέπεται όταν η αιτιολογία αφορά πράξη ΑΑΔΕ.

If your application is rejected — or if a prior approval is revoked — you have the right to file an internal administrative appeal (ενδικοφανής προσφυγή) within 3 months of the decision notification.
- Filing the appeal does not suspend execution of the contested act.

Πρέπει να υποβάλλω αίτηση κάθε χρόνο; Ναι. Η κρίση επιλεξιμότητας ισχύει για 1 έτος. Κάθε χρόνο πρέπει να υποβάλεις νέα αίτηση εντός της καθορισμένης περιόδου.
Τι γίνεται αν αλλάξουν οι συνθήκες μου κατά τη διάρκεια του έτους; Υποχρεούσαι να τροποποιήσεις την αίτηση εντός 1 μηνός από τη μεταβολή και πάντως πριν τη λήξη της ετήσιας προθεσμίας. Αν δεν το κάνεις, η κρίση γίνεται βάσει των διαθέσιμων στοιχείων.
Πόσο είναι το επίδομα; Το ποσό εξαρτάται από την εισοδηματική κατηγορία (Α, Β ή Γ) και τον αριθμό εξαρτώμενων τέκνων. Τα ακριβή ποσά ορίζονται στην εκάστοτε ισχύουσα ΚΥΑ και δεν περιλαμβάνονται στο πρωτόκολλο αυτό.

Do I need to apply every year? Yes. The benefit determination is valid for 1 year. You must submit a new application each year within the designated window.
What if my circumstances change during the year? You are obliged to modify your application within 1 month of the change and before the annual deadline. If you do not, the determination proceeds on available data.
How much is the benefit? The amount depends on your income category (A, B, or C) and the number of dependent children. Exact amounts are set by the current implementing ΚΥΑ and are not included in this protocol specification.
